Trish Marcelino Obituary, Tragic Passing of Jeffrey “Scott” Turner

Salisbury, MD – The community mourns the untimely passing of Jeffrey “Scott” Turner, 45, a cherished resident of Salisbury. Scott departed this world on Monday, July 31, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Maryland. His loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Remarkable Journey

Born on May 10, 1978, in Salisbury, Scott was the son of Jeffrey F. and Dorothy S. (Schneider) Turner. A graduate of Parkside High School in 1996 and Salisbury University with a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2000, Scott embarked on a successful career, beginning with insurance sales at Causey Nationwide Insurance. Eventually, he joined Sharp Energy in Salisbury in January 2003, where he worked for over two decades, becoming the Business Development Manager. His professional dedication earned him immense respect among colleagues and peers.

The Coach, The Outdoorsman, The Family Man

Scott’s passion extended beyond his career; he was a devoted coach for many years, nurturing young talents in football at Fruitland Falcons and later at Parkside High School. His love for the outdoors and hunting led him to share these pursuits with his wife, Kathy, and their two boys, Jeffrey “Drake” and Shane Parker. Together, they enjoyed fishing trips and hunting expeditions, building lasting memories.

A Heart of Gold

Scott’s kindness and thoughtfulness touched the lives of everyone he encountered. His infectious smile, extraordinary personality, and genuine care for others made him a beloved figure in his community. Survived by his wife Kathy, his two boys, and a circle of family and friends, Scott leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.

A Farewell to Remember

A memorial service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, August 5, at 2:00 PM at Holloway Funeral Home, located at 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 12:30 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

In memory of Scott, donations can be made to Women Supporting Women or Asbury United Methodist Church. Contributions to Fruitland Falcons Youth Sports in c/o Mark Urban are also welcome.
