A Life of Love, Passion, and Selflessness

Arlington Heights, IL – October 14, 2023 – On October 12, 2023, the community of Arlington Heights mourned the loss of a beloved son, husband, father, and friend. Michael Paul Duski, born on August 22, 1977, was a pillar of love and kindness in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Life Well Lived

Michael, affectionately known as Mike, was born to Paul and Eileen Duski (nee Ciombor) in Arlington Heights. He left an indelible mark in the hearts of all who knew him through his unwavering devotion, boundless love, and genuine selflessness.

A Passion for Sports

From an early age, Mike’s life revolved around sports. He played multiple sports as a young boy and maintained his passion throughout his life, particularly as an avid golfer. However, his greatest joy came from watching his children, Sophia, Alex, and Ava, excel in basketball and soccer. He actively coached and mentored them, nurturing their talents and instilling in them the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

A Cherished Family Man

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Duski (nee Wessels), who shared in the journey of love and life with him. His memory will forever be carried by his children, Sophia, Alex, and Ava. In addition, he is survived by his brother David (Anna) Duski and is remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, and his grieving parents.

Fond Farewell

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Victor and Sally Duski and Edwin and Sophie Ciombor, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.

Final Farewells and Memorials

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation scheduled for Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., located at 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. The funeral mass will take place at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL. Mike will be laid to rest at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

A Legacy of Giving

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Donations can be sent to 1 N. LaSalle Street, Suite 1200, Chicago, IL 60602, in honor of Mike’s passion for supporting critical research into juvenile diabetes.
