Reno, Nevada – The news of MD Patricia Quinlan’s passing, has cast a shadow of profound sadness over our community. Pat, as she was affectionately known, was a constant presence, diligently working towards enhancing our community and leaving a legacy of creativity and compassion.

A Life of Dedication

Pat’s journey began in 1935 when she moved to Reno, Nevada, with her mother, Ramie, from Pueblo, Colorado. She dedicated the next 88 years of her life to this remarkable city, making it her home.

Early Years and Lifelong Bonds

Growing up in downtown Reno, Pat attended South Side Schools and graduated in 1951 from the original Reno High School. Remarkably, she lived in the same Liberty Street house where she would later raise her own family.

Throughout her life, Pat cherished the friendships she forged, and she was thrilled to attend her 1951 classmates’ monthly luncheon even on the day of her passing.

Cherished Memories

Pat’s adventurous spirit led her to embark on memorable journeys with her husband, Bob, and dear friends, Colonel Otto Schulz and his wife, Sally. Together, they explored the landscapes of Europe and Ireland, creating cherished memories that will forever endure.

A Legacy of Love

Pat is survived by her daughter Carol, son Mark, daughter-in-law Diana, grandsons Ryan and Kellen, Ryan’s wife Kendall, and two great-grandchildren, Ireland and Jack Quinlan. She was preceded in death by her son Paul J. Quinlan and her devoted husband, Robert J. Quinlan.

Remembering Pat

Pat’s friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a “Celebration of Life” event on Thursday, September 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., hosted at the Renaissance Shore Hotel Room, which held a special place in her heart. A private burial took place earlier at Mountain View Cemetery.
