Judy Taylor & Lawrence Taylor died in Long Beach murder-suicide

The Incident

In a shocking incident, a 75-year-old woman named Judy Taylor and her 81-year-old husband Lawrence Taylor were found dead in their home in Long Beach, California. Investigators believe the case to be a murder-suicide.

The Investigation

Homicide detectives were dispatched to the 5600 block of Corso Di Napoli around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday for a wellness check. The couple had not been responding to calls or opening their front door. Upon arrival, both Judy and Lawrence were tragically pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel from the Long Beach Fire Department.

Cause of Death

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, Judy’s death was the result of a gunshot wound to her upper body. Lawrence appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his upper body. A firearm was found at the scene, leading officials to investigate the incident as a possible murder-suicide.
