Faith Cujas Obituary: Tribute to a Loved Soul: Faith Cujas Obituary in Ford City, PA

The community of Ford City, PA, is mourning the loss of a beloved soul, Faith A. “Gigi” Cujas. As we pay tribute to her life, we celebrate the impact she had on her family, friends, and the local community. Faith’s dedication to education, her love for her family, and her joyful spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Early Life and Aspirations

Faith Cujas was born on April 11, 1955, in Kittanning, PA, to the late Fred T. and Gloria Faye (Murray) Crytzer. From an early age, she aspired to become a teacher, and her passion for education never wavered.

A Passionate Educator

After graduating from Ford City High School in 1973, Faith pursued her dream of becoming a teacher. She attended Slippery Rock University and earned her degree in elementary and special education in 1978. Faith’s teaching career in the Armstrong School District began at Shannock Valley Elementary, and she later taught at Lenape Elementary until her retirement in 2014. Her dedication to her students and her commitment to their growth made her a beloved educator in the community.

A Faithful Member of Grace Presbyterian Church

Faith was a faithful member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Kittanning. Her involvement in the church community was a testament to her strong faith and her desire to serve others.

Cherishing Time with Loved Ones

Outside of her work and church commitments, Faith cherished spending time with her loved ones. She enjoyed walks with her friends Barb, Valerie, and Lynette, and had a special love for the beach, often vacationing in the Outer Banks. However, her greatest joy came from being a devoted spectator to her grandchildren’s activities. Watching her granddaughters dance and cheering on her grandson during his hockey and baseball games brought her immense happiness. Faith also loved to lose herself in the world of books.

A Loving Family

Faith Cujas is survived by her husband, Larry Cujas, and her daughters, Sarah (Jeff) Say of Culpeper, VA, and Emily (Bob) Ramer of Cranberry Township. She was a loving grandmother to Mady, Bailey, Logan, Maura, and Maci. Faith also leaves behind her sister, Jayne (Chuck) Mansfield of Girard, OH, along with her nephew, Ben Mansfield, and his children, Ella, Adele, and Nathan. Her niece, Amy (Noah) Sniderman, and their children, Avery, Hadley, and Isaac, were also cherished by Faith. Not to forget her beloved “granddog,” Libby, who brought additional joy to her life.

Funeral Arrangements

Friends are invited to pay their respects at Welch Funeral Service, LLC, 1032 Fourth Ave., Ford City, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Grace Presbyterian Church, Kittanning, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Lawn Haven Burial Estates in Worthington.

As we mourn the loss of a dedicated educator, a loving family member, and a joyful spirit, let us remember the impact she had on her students, her loved ones, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest in peace, Faith “Gigi” Cujas, and thank you for the lasting impression you left on all of us.
