In a heart-wrenching incident, Corey James Gaudet, a cherished member of Dieppe, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2023, at the tender age of 21. Known for his love of sports, video gaming, and spending quality time with friends, Corey’s departure has left a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Remembering Corey Gaudet

Corey, born on September 21, 2001, is survived by his parents, Gerry Gaudet and Karen Gaudet (nee Reynolds), and his beloved sister, Kayla Gaudet (Noah Babineau). The loss of Corey is felt across generations, with his grandfather James Reynolds, grandmother Carrie Gaudet, and special family friends Denis and Denise Leger grieving his absence. Corey’s passing also deeply saddens his uncle, Peter Reynolds (Karen), and his aunts Linda Longtin (Andre), Denise McMackin, and Rachelle Gaudet (Chris Stephenson).

A Passionate Soul

From a young age, Corey displayed a passion for sports, engaging in soccer, baseball, football, golf, and pickleball. However, hockey held a special place in his heart, captivating his spirit like no other. Corey was not only dedicated to sports but was also a cheerful entertainer, known for his ability to bring joy and laughter to those around him. His friends fondly remember him as a jokester, always ready to brighten their days.

A Hardworking Individual

Corey was not only passionate about sports and entertainment but also a diligent and reliable employee. At the time of his passing, he was working at Service New Brunswick, showcasing his commitment and work ethic in the professional realm as well.

Memorial Arrangements

Friends, family, and the community at large will have the opportunity to pay their respects during a public visitation at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, August 5th, 2023, from 9:00 am to 10:55 am. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am in the Fair Haven Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or a charity of the donor’s choice to honor Corey’s memory and support causes close to his heart.
